Raymond Azzolin, of Boomingdale
A memorial Mass for Raynond R. Azzolin, 95, will be celebrated at St. Walter Church, 117 W. Maple, Roselle at 10:00 a.m. on Friday October 28, 2022. Inurnment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Raymond attended Campion Jesuit High School in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin and in 1945, shortly before his official graduation, enlisted in the United States Navy. He proudly served his country in both World War II and the Korean War. Following his service tours, he and his brother founded Azzolin Brother Imports. He was a volunteer usher at St. Walter Catholic Church for many years. Aside from his family and many friends he loved summers on Lake Michigan, Notre Dame Football, and the Chicago Cubs.
Raymond was the beloved husband of Shirley (nee Roeder), devoted father of Barbara Azzollin, Patricia (Richard) Azzolin Schroeder, Michael (Pamela) Azzolin, And Robert (Jodi) Azzolin. He was the proud grandfather of Raynond (Kelly) Azzolin, Danika Schroeder, and Dominic (Nicolette) Azzolin, loving son of Mike and Angeline (nee Colpo) Azzolin, and dear brother of Aldo (June) Azzolin, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Shirley; his son, Robert; and brother.
