Regina C. Kurcz

Regina C. (Jarmoszka) Kurcz, 93, originally of Chicago, IL passed away Dec. 23, 2022 at home in
Marana, AZ.
She was the daughter of the late Vincent and Camille Jarmoszka.
Regina was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Casimir Kurcz; brother, Edwin
Jarmoszka and sister, Delphine (late Robert) Andrews.
Regina is survived by two sisters-in-law, Anna (late John) Stovich and Kitty Jarmoszka; a son,
Stanley (Linda) Kurcz; three daughters, Lottie Kurcz, Jean Kurcz and Elaine (late John) Marchello;
cherished grandmother of Melissa (Travis) Pilchard, Christopher (Kayla) Barsotti, Stefanie (Brett)
Kroeze, and Lauren (Nick) Sillies; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Over the years, Regina enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting and cross stitch in her free time. More
recently, you could  find her on her iPad playing games and assembling puzzles. She devoted many
years of her life in support of her family and was known for growing the best tomatoes at their
home in Chicago. She preserved what she grew in addition to the fruits and vegetables they bought
and canned. She was also known for her baking. Each year she would make dozens of cookies for
her children to take to school at Christmas. At the age of 50, Regina was able to fulfill a lifelong
dream of becoming a nurse. She graduated from City Colleges of Chicago and worked several years
at Holy Cross Hospital. She was employed at First Health, in Downers Grove, at the time of her
retirement.
Visitation is from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023 at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels,
450 W. Lake Street, Roselle, IL. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
