Richard “Michael” Antonini passed away on April 10, 2026, at the age of 73.
Born on October 18, 1952, in California, Michael built his early life there, working as a skilled smoke master and in various restaurants. He married his beloved wife, Vinnie, in Chicago, and the two began their life together before moving to California, where they lived for several years. About a year after the birth of their son Anthony, they returned to Chicago, where Michael began a long career as a dedicated truck driver.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Shans and Doris, as well as his siblings Tony and Shans. He is survived by his loving wife, Vinnie; his sister, Bonnie (Al); and his three children: Anthony (Colleen), Jacob, and Gianna (Colton). He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Sammie and Joey, who brought him immense joy.
Michael had a deep love for the ocean and a spirit for adventure. He cherished riding his Harley, had a true passion for food, and found great happiness in sharing the things he loved with the people he loved most. He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his generous spirit, and his unwavering devotion to his family.
He is also survived by his extended family, including his in-laws Michael (Dawn) and Sunday (Lorrie), and was preceded in death by Dominic and Rocco. He shared close bonds with them, as well as with many nieces and nephews from both sides of the family.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 12:00 PM on May 2 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.
