Richard F. Kraus

Richard Kraus, 90, of Hanover Park passed away peacefully on September 16th surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Chicago on September 26, 1931, and he lived with his beloved partner Stephen J. Szynal for 37 years. Richard was born to Victoria (Maruszek) and Paul Peter Kraus. He was the youngest of nine children the late Mary, Genevieve, Helen, Monica, Henry, Loretta, Roman and Evelyn. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews who will miss his sense of humor and love of card games. Richard served in the US Army and later worked for the department of defense for many years up until his retirement. He was an active member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Richard was a dear friend to many, and he will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
