Rosalia Carmen "Rose" Belmares, 67, of Carpentersville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026. Born on July 16, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, Rose lived a life filled with creativity, devotion, and love for her family and community.
Rose was the beloved mother of Joseph Rodriguez and his wife, Melissa Rodriguez, and of Vincent Rodriguez. She was a proud grandmother to Anthony Rodriguez. She is also survived by her brothers Gilbert Belmares (Darlene), Alexander Belmares (Nancy), and Ruben Belmares; her sister-in-law Eileen Belmares, wife of her late brother Joseph Belmares Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Belmares Sr. and Inez Hernandez; her brother, Joseph Belmares Jr.; her sister, Mary Louise Terry, and brother-in-law, John Terry; and her nephew, Christopher Belmares.
A woman of many talents and passions, Rose found joy in arts and crafts, knitting, quilting, and designing costumes for her children, grandchildren, and friends. Her creative spirit shone through in her holiday decorations—Halloween and Christmas were particular favorites—as she transformed her home into a festive haven for all to enjoy. Rose's culinary skills were equally celebrated; she loved cooking for family and friends while experimenting with new recipes and collecting kitchen gadgets to perfect her creations.
Rose's love for sports was evident in her unwavering support of the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks, and Green Bay Packers. She also enjoyed listening to audiobooks, watching engaging television shows, and going to theaters to see movies on the big screen.
A woman of many talents and passions, Rose found joy in arts and crafts, knitting, quilting, and designing costumes.
Her Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life. Raised with deep spiritual values from an early age, Rose remained devout throughout her life. Her faith inspired not only her beliefs but also her actions as she gave back to the community by volunteering at the local church food pantry—a tradition she shared with her grandson to instill similar values.
Rosalia Carmen "Rose" Belmares will be remembered as a kind-hearted woman whose generosity touched everyone she met. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
