Rosemarie Klumak, 60 passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025 in Streamwood, IL after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born in Dorchester, Massachusetts on September 13, 1965 she was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (McCole) McSheffrey. Rose is survived by her children Colleen (Steven) and Kurt (Lisa); former spouse of Gary Klumak; her siblings Mary Murphy Freller, Kathleen Ricottelli, Michael & Annie McSheffrey, Sheila Lienemann, the late Patrick & Hugh McSheffrey, and Peggy Rampino; along with many nieces and nephews.
Rose later made her home in Chicago, where she built a life centered around family, strength and unwavering love. She carried that big family energy with her everywhere she went. She was a devoted mother of two, her children were the center of her world and the greatest pride of her life. Lets not forget her deep love for animals, she cherished the companionship from her dog Miley and two cats, Cali and Jax. To know Rose, was to know strength. She faced life’s challenges head on with a resilience that inspired everyone around her. She was the kind of woman you could always count on; steady, dependable and fierce loving. If you needed her, she was there, no questions asked.
Time spent with family & friends was what she treasured the most, weather it was laughter around the kitchen table or a simple moment together she made it meaningful. She made the best spinach dip, a small but perfect example of how she poured love into everything she did. And in true Rosemarie fashion she never outgrew the simple joys, especially an ice-cold coke from McDonalds or a fireball shot with her girls at the neighborhood bar. She was the life of the party and the one who made every gathering better just by walking into the room.
Her strength, her laughter and her ability to bring people together will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Her legacy lives on in the resilience she showed, the love she gave, and the joy she brought into every room.
Per Rose’s wishes we will have a celebration of her life at:
Timeout Sports Pub in Hanover Park on April 18,2026 from 4:00P.M. -10:00 P.M.
