Rosita Z. Catan, 81, of Chicago died peacefully on September 13, 2022. She was in born in Lopez, Quezon Philippines on April 17, 1941, and lived with her life partner, Pierre, for 48 years.
Rosita graduated with a BS in Chemistry before immigrating to the United States in 1969. She then worked for the Chicago Tribune, American Express, and Mellon Bank while living in Chicago. Rosita has joined her parents, Marianito and Magdalena, brother, Reynaldo “Rene”, and beloved Pierre in heaven. She is survived by her sister, Remie, sister in law, Siony Catan, and many nieces, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. A Visitation service will be held at Salerno Rosedale Chapel in Roselle, IL on Saturday September 24 and Sunday September 25 from 3-9pm.
