Sonia was born in Guatemala City on September 17, 1942, and migrated to the United States in 1995, to be reunited with her beloved family.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very young age. Singing was a great passion of hers and was part of several choirs throughout her life.
She immensely enjoyed cooking and made the best Guatemalan dishes you could ever imagine!
She leaves behind a legacy carried on by her beloved husband of 58 years, Amilcar, her three loving children Herbert, Sonia and Carolin and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was truly the matriarch of the family who taught them to love unconditionally.
