Timothy F. Deutschle, age 77, of Bloomingdale, Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service and commitment to his community. Born on April 20, 1948, Timothy embarked on a remarkable career with the Addison Fire Protection District, serving from 1971 until his retirement in 2004. He held the esteemed position of Fire Chief from 1992 until his retirement, demonstrating unwavering leadership and a passion for fire safety that has left an indelible mark on the community.
In his continued dedication to public service, Timothy served as the current President of the Board of Trustees for the Bloomingdale Fire Protection District and was active as a lobbyist for The Illinois Fire Protection District, advocating for the needs and safety of fire services across the state.
Timothy is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Jane (nee McCarthy), with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. He was a proud father to Kati (Sebastian) Otero Barba and a cherished grandfather to his three grandchildren, Sebastian, Maximo, and Isabel. Timothy had a close-knit family, including his siblings, Barbara (William) Ranieri and Thomas (Fran) Deutschle, as well as a cousin, Donald (Donna) Asher. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews: Maureen, Laura, Kathy, Jimmy, Robert, Dave, and Dan, who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and H. Jane Deutschle.
Visitation will be held on December 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, located at 450 W Lake St, Roselle, Illinois. A prayer service will take place on December 5, 2025, at 8:30 AM, followed by a Mass at St. Isidore Parish, located at 427 W Army Trail Rd, Bloomingdale, Illinois, starting at 9:30 AM.
Timothy F. Deutschle will be remembered not only for his contributions to fire safety but also for his deep commitment to family and friends, reflecting a life dedicated to service and love.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to The American Cancer Society in memory of Timothy F. Deutschle.
