Interment:

Vincenza Costello (Vinnie) nee Perri, dear mother of Patti (David Costello), Tom (Jenny), Michael (Judy). Preceded in death by her adored parents Joseph and Grace Perri and loving siblings John (Jean), Francis, Lillian (John Hardy), Ben (Ann), Michael (Helen), Frank (Mary), Peter (Carmen). Adored nanni of Vinnedra, Joseph, David, Michelle, John and Nicole. Great nanna of Vincent Ameen. Dearest and longest friend of Darlene Calderone. Fond “Aunt Chancy” to numerous nieces and nephews. Dearest friend of many.
Vinnie grew up on the west side of Chicago in a large Italian family. She settled down and raised her family in Bellwood, IL for nearly 20 years before moving to Hillside, IL. She was extremely active at St. Domitilla Parish as a Eucharistic Minister and involved herself in many prayer groups and Bible studies. Vinnie later studied and worked hard to join the lay community of the Third Order of Carmelites. She enjoyed a 27 year career as the face and first voice of Dunlee/Phillips Medical in Aurora, IL as a receptionist, before retiring to an independent living community also in Aurora. Vinnie fiercely coveted her independence and enjoyed her many lifelong friendships; caring and nurturing others through life’s major events. Her big, bold personality left her a stranger to no one. She was an exceptional cook, having been featured in the Chicago Sun Times for cooking fresh and from scratch. Her amazing frittata’s were famous and often requested. No one could flip them like Vinnie and she was proud of it! Vinnie loved music, dancing, dining out, movies (especially Hallmark Channel), reading and hotly debating her points of view. She was a boisterously, enthusiastic fan of DaBears and the Chicago Blackhawks. Vinnie filled a room as no one else could and will be truly missed and forever in our hearts and minds.
