Vincenzo D'Avolio

Vincenzo D’Avolio, 83, passed away on April 18, 2026. Born on October 8, 1942, he spent his life as a skilled tailor of men’s clothing, working tirelessly throughout his life to care for and support his family through his craft.

A devoted family man and beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle to many nieces and nephews, Vincenzo was known for his generosity, putting his loved ones above all else. He had a special place in his heart for the kids in his family and found joy in simple moments, especially watching Chicago sports with his sons or sharing a meal with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michele and Santa; his wife, Josephine; and his sons, Michele, Tommaso, and Aurelio. He is survived by his siblings, Mimmo and his wife Maria, Beatrice and the late Pino, Maria Assunta and her husband Salvatore, and Antonia and her husband Pietro, along with many family members who will remember him with love.

Visitation will be held on April 28, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St., Roselle, IL, followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Walter Catholic Church, 130 W. Pine Ave., Roselle, IL.

Vincenzo’s life was defined by his devotion to his family and the tireless way he provided for those he loved. His memory will live on in all who knew him.

He is now peacefully reunited with his beloved wife and sons, together again in eternal rest.
