Robert Fox

Robert Allen (“Bob”) Fox, age 70, died on November 1, 2015 at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois after a short illness.  Bob is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Maryanne; his adoring children Thomas (Dillon), Mia (Joseph), Philip (Michael), and Krysta; his beloved grandchildren, Alice and Brandon; his doting sister, Kathleen; and his brother, John. He is preceded in death by his mother, Alice Sturm Fox, and his father, John H. Fox.  Bob was born on October 29, 1945 in Oak Park, Illinois.  In his younger years he served in the U.S. Army as a reservist and later worked as both a ski instructor and scuba trainer.  He was also an entrepreneur and businessman who built and led a successful general contracting firm in suburban Chicago for more than 30 years.  He enjoyed playing golf, restoring old cars, and spending time with his grandkids.  Bob was a caring and generous father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed by all.

Funeral Thursday, 9:00 a.m. from Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. Roselle, IL. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd.) to Corpus Christi Church. Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment Private.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shining Light at www.shininglightnfp.org.
