William M. Tarpey, age 86, Army veteran, Korean Conflict. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee McCafferty); dearest father of Mary Pat (Tim Lamke), Bill (Kathleen), Maureen (Herman) Bingham, and Kathleen (Hiram) Johnson; Loving brother of Eleanor (Donald) Kraft , the late Thomas (the late Barbara), Robert (Bev), Gerald (Donna), the late James (the late Theresa), and the late Noreen (Lawrence) Waco: Fond son of the late Nora (nee Sharkey) and late William Tarpey; Cherished Grandpa of Meaghan (Roger) Cheverette (Roger), Nora Bingham, Katelyn Tarpey and Neil Bingham; Big Papa of William, Mason and Bella; Loving friend of Antoinette Moon; Beloved uncle and friend of many. Graduate of Fenwick H.S. and Loyola University; 70-year resident of River Grove, former village trustee, clerk. “To my loving family and many friends, raise a starry flower high, until we meet again.”

Funeral Friday 9:30 a.m. from Salerno’s Galewood Chapels, 1857 N. Harlem Ave. to St. Cyprian Church, Mass 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 3-8 p.m. For Info 773-889-1700.
