Carter (nee Romano) also known as Lee Stevens, singer; Devoted father of Steve (Teresa) Carter, Lori (Michael) Madey, Scott (Michelle) Carter, Lana (Ken) Ghiselli and Leana (David) Kane; Loving Son of the late Robert and Ada Carter; Dear brother of the late J.R. Carter, Roy Carter, the late Nora Gradowski, Velma and the late Floyd Carter; Dear grandfather of Ashley, Josh, Anthony, Chad, Gabe, Nikki, Dominic, Myles, Tyler, Karly, Preston, Collin, Amber, April, Justin, Nico, Phoenix, Londyn, Eris and great grandfather of Noah. Bert was a finisher and Business Executive in the Concrete Industry, was a member of Cement Masons local 502, he was an avid bears fan, loved to golf and was a devout Catholic who always prayed to the Blessed Mother. Funeral Saturday, 10:00 a.m. from Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels 450 W. Lake St. Roselle, IL. 60172 (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd.) to St. Peter Damian Church. Mass 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. Visitation Friday 3:00-9:00 p.m.
