Matteo Carbonara, age 82, was the beloved husband of Maddalena (nee LaVolpe); devoted father of Porzia (Jerry Randazzo) and Rina (John) Davis; dear brother of Domenica Gilio; dear grandfather of Jessica and Jamie Gillis, and John and Layna Davis; and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral Thursday, 9:30 a.m. from Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (¾ mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road), Roselle, to St. Zachary Church for Mass at 11 a.m. Entombment will be in All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral chapel. Please omit flowers. For information, call 630-889-1700.
