Natalie “Dolly” (Masella) Svendsen was born on December 25, 1937 in Chicago, IL. She passed away on December 18, 2023, a week before her 86th birthday. She graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 1955. After many years as a successful buyer, she retired from Xentris Wireless in 2011. Dolly was married to Carl Henry Svendsen on September 5, 1959. She is survived by her husband and four children: Paul (Terri), Donald (Rebecca), Richard (Michael), and Karla; as well as six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition survived by her sister Rita Nicosia and preceded in death by her brother Anthony Masella. Dolly lived to dance, bowl, gamble, and love her family. She did everything with such vigor, that she could not help but draw people in. Dolly’s fierce love and spitfire attitude will be severely missed. Visitation to pay respects will be available at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel in Roselle, IL on January 19, 2024 between 4pm-8pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Walter Catholic Church in Roselle, IL on January 20, 2024 at 10 a.m. Dolly will be buried at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Palatine, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The LAM Foundation, an organization Dolly felt strongly about. https://www.thelamfoundation.org/donate/ways-to-give/

Dearest Family, My sincerest sympathies. I loved my Aunt Dolly’s character and heart. I have fond memories of my aunt that make me smile. I’m thinking I will go buy a lottery ticket very soon. I’ll always remember her with love, and will miss her very much. Praying for you all.

hello to family and friends. my deep condolences. My dear friend Richard has my deep respect forever. His personality and warmth comes from Dolly. She had visited Flagstaff where I was entertained with her lively ideals. Richard & Michael’s front porch held many fun gatherings As a neighbor I met many family members. Thank you for great memories you guys.
