Rose Marie Schatz

Rose Marie Schatz, 89, of Bloomingdale, IL., passed away on February28, 2024 in the Sunrise of Bloomingdale Alternative Living Facility in Bloomingdale. Rose was born on December 15, 1934 in Chicago, Il., the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Carmella (Barzano) Vecchiolla. Rose was a 1953 graduate and varsity letter winner from Marshal High School in Chicago. Loving wife of the late Joseph Schatz; beloved mother of Candy (Bob) Verzak, Jo Anna (Dan) White and Michael (Lori) Schatz; fond grandmother of Michael, Jeff, Matt, Becky, Kelly, Molly and Mariah; great-grandmother of Noah and Emma; dear sister of Delores and the late Anthony and Carmilla. Visitation and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday March 2 from 12Noon to 6:00 p.m. (Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m.) at the Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake Street, Roselle, IL. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
