Susan Jensen

GLENDALE HEIGHTS – Susan M. Jensen (nee Tummett) passed away on Sept. 18, 2015. She was born on June 18, 1965 in Appleton, WI. She graduated from Appleton East High School in 1973 and received a BFA degree from the University of Minnesota. Sue married Peter K. Jensen on June 26, 1977, enjoying 37 years of marriage before Peter’s death in 2014. Susan was a devoted and loving mother who loved her community. She was passionate about education and literacy, dedicating 26 years to the Queen Bee Board of Education In Glendale Heights. She represented the district at the Illinois Association of School Boards and the Legislative Education Network of DuPage County. Her devotion and commitment to teachers and students was ongoing. Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Jensen; her parents, her father-in-law, and her nephew. Susan is survived by her son, Kristoffer Jensen of Glendale Heights, IL; her mother-in-law, her brother and sister, Peter’s brother and 3 sisters, 9 nieces and nephews, and many lovely friends. Come and share your memories of Susan at the Celebration of her Life on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 from 12 noon to 4pm with a memorial at 3pm at the Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (¾ mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road), Roselle, IL.
