Vito Basile Sr., Beloved husband of Valerie (nee Longo); Devoted father of Vito Jr. (Ineta) Basile and Angela (Krzysztof) Wantuch; Dear son of the late Vincent and Karen Basile; Cherished grandfather of Aria Basile; Dear brother of Vincent (Debra) Basile, Nicoletta Basile, Karen (William) Noonan, Tammie (Nicola) Fiore, Christina (Joseph) Alvarez, Caroline Burke, Joanne (Darryl) Sherman, Patricia (Roberto) Hernandez and Joseph (Lisa) Basile; and Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday, family and friends are asked to gather 10:00 a.m. at Salerno Rosedale Chapels 450 W. Lake St. Roselle, IL. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd.) to Visitation Parish Catholic Church. Mass 11:00 a.m. Interment Private. Visitation Friday 3:00-9:00 p.m at the funeral home.

In all ways Vito influenced me in positive ways. I'll enjoy remembering our conversations over breakfast and I'll always be confident that no matter what I could possibly say, it's still not that inappropriate amongst those that love me. And that family and pasta are the most important things. All are forgiven.

To the entire Basil Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many childhood memories with (Uncle) Vito in them. I am sorry I can't be there for all of you at this time of need, but remember you are all in my thoughts and prayers. We all have another Angel on our side watching over us.
