Rodney C. Lee March 7, 1944 – June 2, 2021

Rodney C. Lee, age 77, of Bloomingdale, IL went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 after a courageous 7 year battle with cancer. He was born March 7, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Alfred and Lucille Lee. After graduating from Elmwood Park high school, Rodney then graduated from North Park University in Chicago, IL and went on to work as an educator for Chicago Public Schools for 35 years. He also worked part-time for Plastron in accounting for 16 years.
Rodney was a compassionate, kindhearted, and generous man who brought laughter with his jokes to everyone around him. He enjoyed time with family at the lake, friends at the yacht club, boating and held an incredibly passionate place in his heart for his Norwegian heritage while being a member of the Norwegian Torske Klub and traveling to Norway three times during his life. He was a wonderful loving husband, father and grandfather that showed an adoring dedication to his family.
Rodney is survived by his beloved wife Janet (Engel) Lee of 47 years, his two children, Brian (Stefanie) Lee, and Kristy (Dan) Kijinski and two beautiful granddaughters Delaynie and Adeleine who meant the world to him.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to Covenant Church of Schaumburg in Schaumburg, IL or Millard Covenant Church of Elkhorn, WI.
