Angelo Tarullo Jr., 87, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and U.S. Army veteran, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024. Born on May 7, 1937, he shared a remarkable 62-year marriage with his devoted wife, Rosalie Tarullo (née Molinaro). They met at a dance where Angelo’s charm—and a little fib about his age—won Rosalie’s heart. They married on November 10, 1962, honeymooned in Acapulco, Mexico, and built a beautiful life together. He was a dedicated father to Michele Wargo and Mark Tarullo (Melissa), and a proud grandfather to Kaitlin Wargo, Kelly Wargo, Joaquin Arias, Isabela Arias, and Matthew Tarullo. Angelo was the cherished son of the late Angelo Tarullo Sr. and Madlin Tarullo (née Bavone). He was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph “Joey” and Anthony, his beloved dog Mandy, and his special cousin Marie Valentino. He is survived by his sister TheresaMarie Hansel (née Tarullo). He was a loving uncle to Angela Alexandria (Art), Joseph Hansel (Carol), and Nancy Krohn (Ray), as well as a respected patriarch to extended family members. He left an impact on everyone he met. Angelo worked as a printer by trade and retired in 1992. In retirement, he and Rosalie enjoyed snow-birding in Florida, going on cruises with friends, as well as enjoying family vacations. Angelo and Rosalie bought their first home in Hillside in 1965 where, with the help of his father, he became a skilled handyman. Together they turned a fixer-upper house into a family home. He took pride in his garden and created countless memories for his children. He was an involved dad who put up the pool every summer, built his kids a fort in the yard, and turned the backyard into a skating rink in the winter. He never missed a baseball, softball, or basketball game. He was an avid bowler who achieved at least two perfect games. He also loved golfing and looked forward to his annual fishing trip to Canada with his buddies. He will be remembered as an honest and loyal friend having remained close to his high school friends while raising their families together for over 65 years. In recent years, Angelo faced Lewy body dementia with courage. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.

My deepest sympathy to Rosalie and the Tarullo family. Angelo was a true joy to be with during our years of friendship and I have so many memories of laughter and fun when our "gang" of friends got together. Rest in peace, my friend, and sleep with the angels. We'll miss you.
