We lived across the hall from Barbara for a year, March 2017-18. Didn’t know her well, but she was always delightful to talk to. We moved around the block, and on our walks we would see her red car in the driveway, until it wasn’t there anymore. This past weekend, 10/28/23 we saw the sign for the estate sale. After going over, we we heart broken to find out about Barb. I looked up her obit here to get the details. Our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. She was a delightful lady who was so very nice to us during our short stay in the building. Jim and Terry Thacker

With saddened hearts, we mourn Barb’s passing, but we think that she would prefer that we celebrate the joy she brought to everyone she touched. As a life-long friend to Linda, she shared adventures that are now fond memories that will stay with us forever. Go Cubs!

Beloved Dear Barbara J Hartmann, BFF - both of us always call each other ... A very kind, well dressed, bright, loving, careing, beautiful inside out (always be a part of other's happy moments, to complement gracefully in a fun engaging way), supportive to the ones needed help (would purchase new clothing to give to needy), took care of her aunt dearly & honored her wishes. She's been a shining light for many. I remember Barbara (BFF) who's spirit lives on forever, a gift to all who surrounded her, genuinely enjoyed our friendship, great time spent by reaching out to each other often, following up with phone call or meeting in person. Very hard to find friends who are sincere to honor one an other ... Barbara's lives on forever. May she rest in peace & comfort, happiness, help, laughter she provided for others gets rewarded by grace of God Almighty amen.

Well dear friend… I guess there’s no more Friday night fish fry dinners at the CruiseIn not Red lobster Luncheons talking about the good old days and the fun times we’ve had. I will miss you. God took you way too soon!
