Our family lost a beautiful woman today, Bertha Liberio (Babe, Mom, Ma, Zia). She is survived by her loving husband, Dominick Liberio (Pa). For Pa, his “cutie pie” was the best wife he could ever imagine, someone he went steady with for 66+ years. They never went to bed angry and every night for the past 66+ years they told each other “I love you” before they went to bed.

Ma led a wonderful life, always surrounded by what was most precious to her – her family. Ma has three kids who she adored: Maria Liberio-Gianneschi (Mike Gianneschi), Bertha Giambrone (Anthony Giambrone), and Frank Liberio (Laura Townsend Ermer).

Her kids blessed her with eight grandchildren: Bob Gianneschi (Lisa Tarara), Dom Gianneschi (Stephanie Garges), Antonette Gianneschi-Zangara (Jonathan Zangara), Joe Giambrone (Cara Giambrone), Nick Giambrone (Theresa Giambrone), Frank Giambrone, Marissa Liberio (Matt Latawiec), and Dominick Michael (Kristen Marie Liberio).

Of course, what made Ma beam more than anything else (besides maybe Pa) was her ten, and soon to be eleven, great grandchildren: Gwen, Vyolet, Dominic, Jack, Rocco, Alessia, Frankie, Josephine, Chloe, and Riley.

We are all devastated by the loss but are comforted by the fact that Ma is with the Lord and her family in heaven. We thank all of our friends and family for their kind thoughts and prayers.

There will be a wake with visitation on Sunday, March 21st, at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel, 450 W. Lake St., Roselle, IL 60172 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. There will be a funeral mass for Ma on Monday, March 22nd at her church of 30+ years, St. Philip the Apostle, in Addison. Due to Covid restrictions, the funeral mass will be private.
