Chris A. Poulos, 79 of Addison passed away on July 21, 2022. He was born in Mouzaki, Greece in December 1942. The youngest of five children, he immigrated to America at a very young age. He met his wife Soula (Kalogeropoulos) while returning to Greece where they married and have been happily married for 47 years since. Upon returning to America to begin their life together, he worked tirelessly to provide and support his family. They had two loving children Eleni and Tom.
Chris was special. He was an honest, hardworking man who treated everybody with kindness and respect. He had a calm, gentle demeanor and a distinct laugh. To anyone who knew him, Chris was the kindest, most caring, generous and loyal friend they have ever met. He always had a smile on his face and something good to say. He remained positive, lighthearted and strong even throughout the most difficult times.

Chris above all loved and lived for his family, of which he was extremely proud. He also cared deeply for his many life-long and devoted friends. He was loved by many and leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and generosity which will remain inside all the people that he touched throughout his life. Chris is survived by his wife Soula, daughter Eleni, son-in-law Vince, his son Tom, daughter-in-law Petroula, and his four cherished grandchildren Adriana, Rafaella, Christo, and Gia.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org/donate in Chris’s Memory.

My consolidates to the family . It is sad to here of the death of a great man . I only had the pleasure of meeting Chris a few years ago but I felt like we had known Chris and the family for a long time . I have created a great bong with his daughter and son in law Eleni and Vince . Eleni is an amazing person and has been like family . Her dad has contributed to her growing up and has placed all these great values . This is a reflection of what a great man Chris was and what type of family man he was to his loved ones . I am glad to have had the please on having this great man in my life for a short time . He will be missed by lots of people . I also wanted to say that I am glad a had the pleasure of eating his world famous lamb chops . May god rest your soul and look out the family that he leaves behind . Love from John , Adia and Konstantinos .
