A celebration of life memorial service for Chris will be at Salerno’s Galewood Chaples in Chicago, IL, Thursday, December 9, 3-9pm. Burial will be Friday, December 10, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline, IL, after a visitation at Van Hoe Funeral Home, 1500 6th Street East Moline, IL. Visitation is 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Chris was born in Rock Island, IL; he was the oldest child of Richard and Margot Cobert. He graduated from UTHS in East Moline, IL and Illinois State University with a marketing degree. He later earned a Master of Science in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University Dekalb.
He married Alexis Mosier and they had four children. His children and their activities were what he enjoyed the most.
He worked at various casinos in the 30 plus years in the Gaming Industry. His latest employment was with Rivers Casino in Rosemont, IL.
Chris enjoyed playing cards, euchre with cousins, golf, hunting pheasants with his father, watching Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and the respected Tom Brady, practicing his expert steak grilling, and most of all catching one of his kid’s sporting events, from softball, baseball, football, and wrestling! He was most proud to be the father of a US Marine!
Survivors include his loving wife, Alexis, and sons AJ and Nicolas and daughters Gia and Guiliana (Naperville); his father, Dick Cobert (East Moline) sister Michelle (Mike) Matysik—nieces MacKenzie, Masie, and Marley (Batavia); mother-in-law RoseMary Miceli (Jim) Mosier (Naperville), and Aunt Carole Podlashes, (East Moline) and “close” cousins Steve Podlashes, Christina Peterson, Julie Sheets, Jackie Podlashes. His Grandparents were Jerry and Blanche Cobert (East Moline) whose deaths preceded his.

Chris was a great guy and a pleasure to work with. He will be missed by all that knew him. My condolences to his family.
