Donald Jerome Fenton, Jr. of Plainfield, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on November 28, 2024, while attending the Packer/Dolphin game in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Donald was born on October 3,1972, in Elmhurst, IL, to Donald J. Fenton, Sr. and Ann Marie Fenton (nee Cieslak). Like his father, Donald Fenton, Sr., he was a remarkable salesperson, blending charm and skill effortlessly. Outside of work, Donald was a passionate lover of good cuisine, music, movies, and sports, who lived for live entertainment. A true Chicago ‘north-sider’, he celebrated the Cubs’ 2016 World Series win and like many, carried a good-natured rivalry with the White Sox. Don’s “north star” was his son Donald III or D3 or Little Donnie, as Donald was Big Donnie around the house. The bond they shared for good food, sports, movies, concerts and sending each other goofy memes was unbreakable. Donald cherished the family he built with Denise, Donald III, Hayden and their dogs Bosa and Brady. His impact on the world was profound, and those who met him will not soon forget him. Donald was “One of a Kind”. Donald is survived by his son, Donald J. Fenton III, his partner in life Denise Fenton and her daughter Hayden, his brother Richard Fenton (Andrea Waltz), sister Karen Cooke (Michael), nieces Angelina Sedlak, Allasandra Marini (Bryon), Aubrianna Resler (Jonathan), and his son’s mother, Samantha Lorenzo (Anthony). He was preceded in death by both his mother and father.

Don, you have touched my life in so many ways. I will always think of you when I watch the Patriot’s. I am glad that I had the opportunity to meet you and have you in my life. My deepest condolences to Denise, Little Donnie, and Hayden. Show them how to watch football up there. I will miss you.

Taken from family and friends way too soon. Prayers for your son and the rest of your family. A feeling of emptiness will be felt by everyone who came in contact with you. Lost to us doing what you did best have fun with people. God bless you and your family

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Donnie. I will always remember his great sense of humor and how much we laughed together. Some of my favorite memories of him are from our first year of high school: study hall, freshman basketball, and Bulls games. I knew if I saw him that we would have fun, and life will be much more boring without him. It is very painful to lose someone so full of life----you will be missed, my friend.
