Gerald P. Brady, a proud Navy veteran, was a man of quiet strength and intellectual curiosity. His life was beautifully illustrated by his unwavering love and respect for his beloved wife, Nan. Their 70-year marriage was more than just a union; it was a true love story that inspired all who witnessed it.
As a devoted father to Deborah (Robert) Spidale, Eileen “Sue” (Jim) Panzarella, Maureen Brady, Kelly (Jerome) Lappe, Scott (Patricia) Brady, and Joan (Darren) Howard, Gerald cherished every moment spent with his children. He was a father that was always present – for the big moments or on a moment’s notice. Gerald was a source of optimism and provided unwavering support and love.
Gerald was a loving grandfather to Michele, Tony, Debbie, Bob, Matt, Jerry, Dan, Christopher, Mike, Kimberly, Jon, Patrick, Taylor, Matt, and Jacob. Each grandchild brought him immense joy, and he cherished the unique bond he shared with each one. His great-grandchildren, Colin, Bella, Lianna, Caden, Evelyn, Brady, Colette, Eleanor, Finn, Kai, Ava, and Levi, added to this joy, filling his later years with happiness, wonder and laughter.
Gerald was a fond uncle, cherished by many nieces and nephews.
His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his life will continue to be celebrated by his loved ones.
Gerald will be privately inurned at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Arrangements are being handled by Ralph Massey Funeral Director.
