John Marchese passed peacefully at the age of 85 in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love from family and friends. Married nearly 65 years to his beloved wife, Rosemary, who he loved dearly. John is survived by his children, Steve, Patti and Rick. Proud grandfather of six grandsons, two granddaughters, and a great-grandfather to four beautiful great-granddaughters.

John’s life will live on through the deeply cherished memories held by family and friends. John is remembered as a hardworking, family man, self-less and honorable, he lived his life for the ones he loved; In the eyes of those who knew him, he was the richest man alive.

In 1957, John married the love of his life, Rosemary. Living inseparable, they spent nearly 65 years dedicating their entire lives to one another. She was his Rosy.

John found passion and love in golf, sports, and family traditions. John traveled far to pursue his dream of golfing on some of America’s most beautiful courses. Dedicated fan to the Chicago sports teams, the Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks. John enjoyed his days watching the games. John looked forward to Pasta Sundays, a tradition spent with family and friends gathered, reminiscing about the old days and catching up on the new ones.
John was the families very own Mr. Fix it, it wasn’t broken until he couldn’t fix it.

As a strong patriarch of his family and a true Italian family man, John held the highest integrity in family life. John was filled with endless love and support, incredible strength, a lifetime of knowledge, genuine kindness, and a dear friend to all, a man with a “Heart of Gold” he will always be loved and missed dearly. Forever in our hearts.

So sorry we could not be there. My mom wanted me to make sure I post and sent our condolences. I can hear Rose's voice calling him Johnny 😉 I spent a lot of time at the Marchese's when I was little, they were family and I have lots of great memories! I will always remember John's big smile and that infectious laugh. Hugs to everyone.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of John. Now the four brothers are reunited and can reminisce on those good old Pasta Sundays, Bear games, and golf. Our deepest sympathies to the family.
