Joseph Bratta
Beloved husband of Rita Bratta; Devoted father of the late Gina Bratta, Rocco Bratta, Nicholas Bratta and Juliana Lerario; Loving son of the late Rocco and Giacinta Bratta; Dear brother of Carmella DiCosola and the late Anna Lahm; Dear grandfather of Biagio Lerario, Alisa Lerario, Rocco Lerario, Giuseppe Bratta, Dominic Bratta and Joseph Bratta; Joe was born on May 14th, 1941 in Ceglie del Campo, Bari, Italy. He immigrated to America in 1952. He later went on to serve in the US Army from 1962-1964. He married the love of his life, Rita, in 1965. Joe started Avanti Engineering in 1972. Throughout his life, he has been blessed with four beautiful children and six grandchildren. Joe was a proud member of several charitable groups including CIACO, CI-AMA, Italian Catholic Federation and Madonna di Butterito.
Anyone that knew Joe knew that he had many admirable qualities. Joe cherished his family, lit up any room he entered with his sense of humor, and always put others before himself. He will be missed dearly by his many friends and family.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Joseph’s name to the Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinson.org or to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation at www.alzfdn.org

I knew Joe as a fierce business competitor with a unique personality.Joe was a true entrepreneurial and lived the American dream. Joe truely loved his family and tried his best for them. RIP Joey.
