I'm so sorry that I won't be able to talk with Mariza by phone or text in the future. She has been a friend for many years. We met at St. Isidore parish and she became a friend, prayer partner, worked with me on the Spanish translations of end-of-life care and other presentations at St. Isidore parish, and always made me smile and feel closer to Jesus through her faith and trust in Him. I will miss her voice and the song in her heart that continues to sing such gratitude for life no matter how challenging the circumstances. I hope to see her one day in the most Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary, our Blessed Mother. Mariza's love continues to lead, inspire, and assure me that we are sisters forever in gratefulness to our most merciful and loving God. May the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, be with you, Mariza, and your dear family.
