Patsy Ann Kowalski, 67-year-old resident of Bartlett, Illinois entered into his eternal heavenly home on March 17th, 2023. Also known as Pat, Patty, Patrish and the “Smooch Queen,” she was the loving wife to Ronald, cherished mother to Christine, adored Nana to Caleb, beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Pat was a woman of many talents, especially in the kitchen. Hands down she made the most flavorful homemade gravy for pasta (yes, gravy), meatballs and deviled eggs (always by request at holidays), desserts and let’s not forget fresh bread that made the whole house smell like a warm hug. She enjoyed putting together amazing culinary creations for her family and friends and selflessly, was always the last one to the table as she wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of first. While her baking and cooking were in the oven or on the stove, the kitchen was also heating up into dance floor. The moment Justin Timberlake played over the speaker, the kitchen suddenly transformed with Christine and Caleb by her side. Yes, there was a dance routine! She loved music, especially the Beatles which played for her during her passing.

Pat’s infectious laugh would carry through a room and would leave many in stiches joining in without an option to contain the jovial spirit behind her chuckle…and she was not without her quirks. She was what one might call a “close talker.” She had no problem violating your personal space for something really important she had to tell you. She also liked to talk through movies and yet, you still found yourself continuing to watch movies with her! She sported pink hair to make lock down in 2020 fun, was always wearing a sweater because she was cold and always had a Kleenex up her sleeve. She enjoyed game nights with her daughter, grandson, family and friends. She spent many nights playing competitive rounds of “Qwarkle,” “Pie in the Face,” “Life” and cards. She had a weakness for desserts, sweet wine, and Amaretto Stone Sours. Loved putting together puzzles, the artwork of Thomas Kincade, Tabu perfume and her grandson, Cal.

She had a generous heart, was kind to others and was the most amazing mother and best friend and nana anyone could ask for. If she couldn’t do it in person, she would tell you to “wrap your arms around yourself and that’s me hugging you.” That unconditional love Pat had for her family and friends in life was unwavering and will continue even in death. She will be dearly missed but not forgotten by her loved ones who know that right now, she is at rest in Heaven.
