Phyllis F. Bukowski, nee Magurno, beloved wife of Frank, born October 11, 1935, at rest January 2, 2021. Loving mother of Karen Bukowski (Charles Begin), Frank (Jennifer), and Vince (Taryn). Cherished grandmother of Jake, Tyler, Kyra, Foster, and Carrie. Dear sister of Mary Anne Bratta, Joan Marszalek-Magurno, and Charlotte Fiore. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Salerno’s Galewood Chapels, Sciaraffa Funeral Directors, 1857 N. Harlem Ave, Chicago, IL 60707 on Thursday, January 7th from 3:00-9:00 p.m. Due to current health guidelines, a limited number of attendees are allowed at the same time. We kindly ask that you exit the funeral home after paying your respects so that all visitors have an opportunity to do the same. Masks and proper social distancing are required. Please refrain from bringing food or beverages into the funeral home. The coffee room is not available at this time. Phyllis’s funeral will begin at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 8th, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St Giles Church in Oak Park. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Phyllis’ name to the American Cancer Society. Aunt Phyllis, Thank you for your humor, your sweet little comic book "funnies" in birthday cards, and most of all your kindness. You were a wonderful aunt and I will always remember the good times. I'm sad that we were unable to see each other as often in later years, but it was always nice to hear your ring at the house. We will surely miss those phone calls at home.
