Dad loved watching his children and grandsons participate in different sports ranging from baseball, football, basketball, softball, and soccer. He was their #1 Fan. He enjoyed playing poker and other card games with his friends and family. He was an avid fisherman and loved hunting with his father and brother. He also loved traveling. Did you know he was a good cook? Yes he was. Dad’s famous saying was “take what you want but eat what you take”.Dad was a well-rounded individual who was knowledgeable on a variety of subjects, he was also always available to share lessons learned throughout his life. We were always able to rely on talking to him about life’s “trials and tribulations” and always appreciated his honest feedback. Dad would always end the conversation by saying, “This to shall pass”. He was very handy with home remodeling projects, and we learned a lot from him when asking for his help with a multitude of home projects.Dad was a dedicated, hard working law enforcement professional who worked for the Chicago Police Department, Cook County States Attorney Office, and the Cook County Sheriffs department.A loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed.
