Theresa A. Di Silvestro, of Northbrook, Illinois, beloved wife of the late Robert F. Di Silvestro, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, surrounded by her devoted family. Theresa is survived by her loving sons, Robert J. Di Silvestro (Felicia) and Stephen P. DiSilvestro and her cherished grandchildren, Michelle R. Di Silvestro, Stephen R. Di Silvestro, Kathleen M. Di Silvestro and Carla R. Di Silvestro. Theresa was born on September 13, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. Theresa and Robert were married on October 11, 1958. They shared a wonderful marriage until Robert’s unexpected passing in 2003 at the age of 71. Prior to her marriage, Theresa worked as an executive assistant at People’s Gas. After Bob and Steve were born, Theresa immediately became entrenched in their lives. Beginning at St. John Bosco where they attended grammar school, Theresa headed the St. Joseph Table and Fashion Show Fundraiser and was a close friend to the parish priests and nuns. Later at Fenwick High School, Theresa was extremely active in the Fenwick Mothers Club, in charge of Fenwick’s annual raffle, the major fundraiser, for many years. During her sons’ college years at Northwestern and Notre Dame, Theresa was well known and loved by her sons’ friends for the constant flow of homemade meals and treats, in addition to the many meals she prepared and served over breaks and at football game tailgates. As both sons joined their Dad in the law practice, Theresa was there providing daily assistance. As office manager, she handled the non-legal issues of the growing law firm. Even in her 80’s, she continued to assist at the office and, of course, provided lunch and homemade goodies. Theresa was extremely proud of her sons and especially her grandchildren. She was a constant positive force in their lives, starting with babysitting, picking up at school, driving to their various sports and visiting them and sending care packages while they were away at college. Theresa’s life was her family. She took loving care of her mother and father, aunt and elderly cousin until their deaths. She was a good neighbor and friend to so many. Her husband, sons and grandchildren were a constant source of her attention and devotion. Even as Theresa turned 90 earlier this year, she continued to provide guidance, assurance and advice to her sons and grandchildren. Sunday meals, cooking and baking were Theresa’s favorite way of showing love to her family. Theresa touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A visitation to celebrate Theresa’s life will be held on Monday, December 23 at: Saint Norbert’s Catholic Church, 1809 Walters Avenue, Northbrook, Illinois, Visitation: 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Theresa’s family kindly requests that any donations be made to: The Columbian Club of Chicago Charitable Foundation c/o Robert J. Di Silvestro, 5231 N. Harlem Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60656.

Theresa was an angel, a heart honest and true, a smile to die for , a heart of gold, she cared with her whole heart and gave so generously her time to listen and care and whenever you needed anything or advice she was there for you . She cared so for those she loved and her ethics were solid , true and honest. One could not wish for a better friend. One was blessed to know her and her deceased husband. a freindship that was a gfit from God. She had the kindness heart and spoke her truth... directly and honestly and one was blessed to know her. She loved so very much her family and was always so very proud of them. She will truly be missed by all those that have known her and I personally will miss her dearly.
