It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Virginia Lee Cieslak, who departed this life unexpectedly on May 26, 2023. Virginia was a devoted wife to her husband, James Cieslak, and a loving mother to her daughter, Jennifer Aubry, and son-in-law, Darren Boyd. She was a doting grandmother to Liam Boyd (19 months old). She was a cherished sister to Mary Scaletta and her brother-in-law Michael Scaletta, She also loved her nephew Nicholas Scaletta and his wife Carmela Scaletta dearly. Born on October 30, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, Virginia was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Triolo. She received her primary education from St. Priscilla Elementary School and later graduated from Steinmetz High School. She had a successful career as an executive assistant and office manager at both Sears Corporation and Motorola where formed many close friendships. Her hard work, dedication, and meticulous organization were admired by her colleagues and peers. Virginia was a woman of great character, strength, and grace. Her intelligence, easy laugh, and thoughtfulness will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Virginia was a lover of all animals, specifically dogs and horses and found great joy in spending time with them. She also learned about automotive mechanics at an early age
and could tell you about everything under a car hood.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel.
We mourn the loss of Virginia Cieslak, a woman who touched the lives of all who knew her. May her soul find eternal rest, and may her memory be a source of comfort and strength to her family and friends during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to Paws Chicago, Satchel’s Last Resort

My dear sweet Virginia, my heart is broken now that you left us so suddenly. You and I were always like sisters we felt from the past. I will never forget you or the fun and laughs we had at lunches and at dinners when we all went out. I will miss our chats on the phones and just not being able to see you. You always had a way of cheering me up and always knew the right words to say. You were kindhearted and just so sweet all the time. It will be hard without you. May you rest in peace my dear friend (sis) till we meet again. I love you and my heart will heart will always be with you.

Dear “Virg” just thinking about how many years ago we met working at Motorola- in the late 60’s. All the fun and laughs we had. You were such a bright woman -kind of a Lou Manfradini who is on WGN the fix it man. You were his female counterpart. I was amazed by your knowledge on how to fix things around the house.. With you splitting your time between Florida and Illinois we weren’t able to connect and the last time was at the steak house for lunch with Mary and Laurie. We just picked up the conversation like we had been together yesterday and of course laughing at old Motorola tales. I was so sorry you and Jim were in FLORIDA for Mikes wedding and shower but you sent a nice heartwarming note and gifts. Can’t believe u left us so suddenly. U are so missed, and will be in my heart forever. Rest in peace my dear sweet friend.
