I had the privilege of coaching Joey over several seasons at Wasco Baseball. When you had Joey, you had the whole family. I have never had a player that had the love and loyalty like the love and loyalty of the DiMaggio family. It was no surprise to me to quickly find that Andrew was the heart of that family. He always showed up for his kids...always. He cheered them on, and he cheered on all their teammates equally. He was a positive influence, and we had many fun conversations before, during and after games and practices. One of the first things he asked me was "Can you see if Joey can get #5?". I said "Andrew, I wouldn't dream of giving him any number BUT 5!". This was a man who loved his wife and family deeply. When the DiMaggio family came to the games it was an event! Lots of love and laughter, and always fun and positive. Andrew always thanked me for coaching Joey, but I thank him for giving me that time with such a wonderful young man and getting to know him and his beautiful family. My wife and I are absolutely heartbroken about this, but he left his family with beautiful memories and a lifetime of love. I will always treasure the time I had with this family and the friendship of Andrew during that time.

Nikki, I'm sorry for you loss and I'm here for you anytime you need someone to help with anything. I only got to meet Andrew a couple of times during our Volleyball games, but I know he was a great dad to your children. Seeing that effort and smile he put on G's face told it all. He will always be remembered and we are here for you. God Bless you and your beautiful family!

Drew was an old friend of mine who always put his family first and loved them more than life itself. He had a knack for bringing laughter, comfort, and joy to others. He was loved by most and I am honored to have been a part of his life. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. He will be missed.

My brother! I can’t believe they forgot to mention me as your brother. Darn them! Dude, I am going to miss our pointless, random insulting conversations, our inappropriate text, and our memes. I am happy I could see you in June, although my visit was not long enough. We were able to make complete asses out of ourselves and have the best laughs! It will be just another fun memory I have added to all the other fun memories of us together, which will stay with me for the rest of my life. I will love and miss you, my friend! To Nicci, Joey, Gi, and Vinny, your husband/ dad meant the world to me. You guys mean the world to me. He was an honest, loyal, and caring friend with a wicked sense of humor. I will always be a phone call away. I love you all. I am praying for you all and will always be here for you all. Albert, or as Andrew would say (beanball)

Dear Andrew; your kindness, your sense of humor, the "proud papa" love for your children and your wife, the way your face lit up a room when you smiled, your laughter, your conversation, your compassion..... all this and more will be sorely missed without you here. My heart is broken and aches for your beautiful family, your parents, your siblings/in-laws, your devoted Five Star Family and all those that knew and loved you. You will always be in my heart and will never be forgotten. God Bless you on your journey Drew and I will see you again one day - this I believe.

I’ve known Drew for twenty (plus) years. That guy was not just a “salesman” to me but a true friend! He came from a family that brought me into their family. He brought me in when I needed to keep busy when I was put on a furlough back in the 90s. Then many years later, he hired my teenage son. For years after he started every conversation with “how’s Johnny doing?” Andrew has left his legacy. There’s not anyone in my career that did not love this guy! I could spend the next many weeks telling all of the stories, funny (mostly), serious and heartfelt. I will truly, as will so many more, miss Andrew. He touched many people even when he wasn’t really trying. That was the overwhelming personality he had every minute of every day. God rest your soul my great friend. You will be missed! We love you buddy!
