I worked on South Water Market in ‘70’s and always reminded Angelo about this, he remembered my Dad more than me, I was a kid at the time, he was as nice as could be to me back then and when I seen him occasionally at Taylor St Feast and other festivals, RIP

Last night when I bought groceries at my favorite grocery store, "Caputo's" on Schmale Road near North Avenue, Vicki the checkout girl told me of Mr. Caputo's death. I join her and many in praying for Mr. Caputo's family who mourn his loss. His example of excellent service to others and a beautiful, refreshing grocery store encourages me every time I go there. I love the photos on the walls of the family and neighbors helping one another, providing food for life. May God bless the whole Caputo family and give you His peace. I honor your father's memory! Angelo will be missed, he was the best neighbor and friend anyone could have, he was caring, funny and determined. He fractured his hip and every time I visited he would say to himself “come on Angelo get up and walk around” he would exercise and go in the pool every day, he was determined to get better and not let the hip get the best of him. He always called me and checked in and I loved being with him!

May God and Christ comfort your friends, family, and employees about your passing. It is a pleasure to visit your grocery stores as theyare a beautiful reminder of the foods that I've enjoyed as Italian-American.

Oh My Gracious Lord GOD, surely YOU and us all, have a Holy Man in Heaven for sure, that we would love to be in HIS company like on earth. I'm sure and positive that We all are going to miss HIS good personality and HIS good heart for millions and millions of people HE loved and HE helped during His life on earth. I will never forget HIS financial contribution when I did the 2 SHRINES in honor of ST. PADRE PIO, here in Chicago and in Sarasota, Florida. And the joy HE give me every now and then to come to my house in Glendale Heights and help me to consume my abboundant organic veggies, that HE loved so much, and every time HE will come with a bag of fruit, even if reepeatly told Him: ANGELO do not bring me nothing. HE did what HIS good heart told HIM to do. Dear ANGELO, I'm going to miss YOU dearly. And I'm lookin forward to see YOU in Heaven when it will be GODS will. ANGELO, may Your Soul rest in peace. Carissimo ANGELO ti terro' nelle mie umili preghiere a SANTO PADRE PIO, affinche' LUI ti sia vicino nel SANTO PARADISO. AMEN...
