Antonia “Antoinette” Favuzzi (82), beloved wife of Giovanni Favuzzi and devoted mother to Francesco P. Favuzzi, has passed away on the early morning of July 17, 2022. Antonia was from Cellamare, Bari, Italy born on July 2nd, 1940.
She was the daughter of her late parents Vito Gialo and Vincenza Miulli. She grew up with her siblings Sergio Gialo (deceased), Giovanni Gialo (deceased), Domenico Gialo, Angela Lorusso (deceased), Anna Losurdo, and Alessandro Gialo.
Born and raised in Italy, she came to America in 1956 at 16 years old. She later married her husband, Giovanni, in 1963 and later had her son, Francesco, in 1966.
She was very social and loved to make friends in her community. When she first came to America, she joined the Federazonie Cattolica at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church. She was also part of many other things. For over 30 years, she volunteered at the Holy Trinity Church with the “Feed the Poor” program. She was also the Vice President of the Sant’ Amatore Society of Cellamare. With her husband, they formed the Madonna del Carmine di Noicattaro and she served as treasurer.
Antonia had a big heart that held much love for her religion, heritage, community, and everyone she knew. She and her husband were awarded the 2014 Mother Cabrini Award by the Italian Catholic Federation, Branch 392.
Antonia was known as a friendly, caring, fun, and loving person along with being a devoted Catholic. She will be loved and remembered by many.

Commara Antonietta during our life time we had lots of good times birthday party’s lots of them as well as picnics you were a great person on earth and I’m sure you will be a special ANGEL IN HEAVEN you will be missed .
