Aristito Villones Blanco, aged 81, passed away on October 5, 2024, in Glendale Heights, IL.
Born on June 24, 1943, Aristito (a.k.a. “Resty”) was known for his humble demeanor, intelligence, and integrity. He was a straightforward, caring, playful, yet serious individual when the situation demanded.
Resty graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Rizal, Philippines, in 1967 with a degree in mechanical engineering. His career in the U.S. expanded into the nuclear power sector, from companies like Sargent & Lundy to Bechtel, and across various states including Virginia, New Jersey, and Michigan, and Illinois. Always an excellent provider, Resty, along with his wife Fe, went into business for themselves, opening a successful Subway franchise in Glen Ellyn, IL, from which he retired at the age of 56.
He was a devout member of St Isidore Parish in Bloomingdale, IL. Resty also enjoyed fishing, a hobby that echoed his family’s ancestral livelihood. His lifelong dream of visiting the Holy Land was fulfilled in 2019, where he and his wife Emith (Emelita) renewed their vows.
Resty was preceded in death by his beloved wife Fe (de la Cruz) Blanco. He is survived by his dear wife Emelita (Malibiran), daughters Sheila Joy C. (Timothy Phillips) Blanco and Kathleen C. (Galen) Malick; daughter Judy Ann D. (Nickel) Blanco and son France Louise M. Dondoy; and granddaughters Ava and Bonnie; granddaughters Amanda and Nickole, and grandsons Kian and Keone.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 3-9 PM at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel.
The funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 12, at 9:30 AM at St Isidore Church.
