Bessie F. Trihas (nee Veremis) age 87 of Streamwood was the Beloved wife of the late Foster G. and the late Peter Sienkiewicz; Devoted mother of Andrea Trihas and stepmother of Gail Manojlovich and Lynne Sienkiewicz; Loving grandmother of Matthew and Jennifer; Dear sister of Frances Wahby and Helen Theodosakis and Dear sister in law, aunt and cousin of many. Bess was a go-getter from the age of 9 working at a neighborhood deli and followed that by working in a ice cream/candy store through her teens and early 20’s. She became one of the most renowned female restauranteurs of the times working in the North and Northwest suburbs from the mid 60’s to the early 90’s. Managing the front of the house and also banquets of such places as the Seven Eagles of Des Plaines, Country Inn of Northbrook, Courtier Club of Park Ridge, and her last place of employment, Hilldale Country Club of Hoffman Estates. She was highly respected and beloved by her employees and friends for her honesty and fairness in and out of the workplace while treating everyone with dignity and respect. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her. Funeral Friday, family and friends are asked to gather at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church 601 S. Central Ave. Chicago, IL. Service at 10:30 a.m. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 3:00-9:00 p.m. at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels 450 W. Lake St. Roselle, Il. 60172 (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd.).
