Carlos Zayas, 97 years, Chicago, IL went to be with his Lord on August 11, 2018. Carlos was born May 6, 1921 in Villalba, Puerto Rico to Emilio Zayas and Rosa Torres. He is survived by his loving wife, Irma; five children and their spouses, Yolanda (Eugene), Milagros (Danny), Carlos, Jr. (Angie), Ivan (Liberty), and Edith Zayas. Grandfather of seven grandchildren and their spouses: Milba, Carlos, Jose, Danny, Ivan Nicholas, Jon, and Alexander. Great-grandfather of Alexis, Adrian, Elijah, Ariel, Sophia, Isabel and Gianna. Visitation Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 4 pm until 8 pm, at Salerno’s Sons Funeral Home, at 1857 N. Harlem Ave. Mass Wednesday, August 15, 2018, 9:30 a.m., St. John Bosco Parish, 2250 N. McVicker Ave. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery, 6800 Milwaukee Ave., Niles, IL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
