Death is weird. Death is sad. Death is inevitable. There isn’t a day of my life I can remember without this man it. He always did anything and everything for me without a second thought, I didn’t even have to ask. He raised my brother and I so proudly. Every accomplishment I made he made sure to tell me how proud he was of me & the great things I’d do in life. He taught me so many life lessons that have helped immensely. He taught me how to drive, how to say the right things in interviews, how to make school a first priority. Most importantly he taught me how to love everyone as much as I was able to, if not more. This man didn’t have a bad bone in his body and it showed. If you were in Mikes life you know how much an impact he made. There’s a life time of things I could say but I’m cherishing them in my heart. I’ll love you forever & don’t worry I’ll always assume everyone’s an idiot while driving.

To the best Godfather anyone would ever want. It wasn’t a name or title to you, it was a way of life. I am glad you were my parent’s choice to baptize me. I will miss picking up the phone and hearing your voice simply say “talk to me”. This birthday will be the first one I will not hear that and I will miss you even more. You fought like a warrior and told cancer FU I’m fighting to the end and that is exactly what you did. Also I want to thank Michelle and her family. All of you were there to give Mike love and support in the darkness that no-one talks about. He loved you all very much. Be at peace my Godfather. Love you Ruthie

To my cousin Charles Michael, who is one month and eleven days younger than I, I will miss you. We shared a crib, a playpen, and I'm sorry I stole your bottle from you. Your parents are proud of the many years you worked for the electrical union. Your many cousins, friends, and I will miss you terribly. I would like to thank Michelle Schimel and her daughters who took care of Charles Michael and gave him endless TLC during his final months on earth. Michelle, you and your daughters brought our cousin much happiness in his final days. We are forever grateful and we can never repay you for your selfless acts of kindness and love you have given to our cousin.
