Charles “Chuckie” Peterson. Devoted son of Gail (nee Rau) and the late Charles Peterson. He was a loving brother to Kim (Steve) Leffew and Julie (Paul) Thiem. Cherished uncle of Brad, Mitch, Sam, Jackson and Trent. Adored nephew of Janyce Regan, Wilbur and the late Judy Schenk. Found cousin of Jill, Steven, John and Tracy. Chuckie began his love of hockey at a very young age where he became inseparable with his lifetime friend Jimmy and the Gunzo Humeniuk family. Chuckie was a member of Teamsters Local 727. How ever you knew him as “Chuckie” “Heavy C” “Gunzo” “Bubba” or seen him at Mack’s Golden Pheasant for Sunday Pie club. He was a great friend to all. There wasn’t anyone who knew him that didn’t love him. He will be truly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, memorials donations can be made to The Salvation Army https://give.salvationarmyusa.org/ in Chuckie’s name.

Chuckie Buddy Rest in Piece, hockey was our common denominator going back to the old Addison ARC's, then Addison Trail Hockey team, Chuckie was a few years older than me, however in Junior High I did play with the High School Team occasionally. But Best of all was our days of The Devil's Men's A Check league. Those were the days and we had some great memories and had a great group. From Catman's, the Alpine Room at the old Santa's Village Rink to picking up Sandwiches from Mario's Deli and gathering in Rink parking lots after the games, Chuckie was always smiling. You will always be remembered and be greatly missed.

I have been blessed to know Chuckie and his family since 1970. He had a sense of humor like no one else. always would work long long hours. Had a few medical setbacks with a few accidents but overcame them. Blonde hair and blue blue eyes. I remember much but for sure how he always made sure his Mom and his Aunt Judy had the most beautiful Christmas centerpieces every year. He will be missed. However he may be gone in presence for us all but he will always be in our hearts and minds. I was known as his Shirt tail Aunt.He always greeted me warmly whenever I did see him, and through all these 52 years of my friendship with the family I seen him very often at numerous family functions. I was thinking with the many many who have left our world from his family, he must have had a big welcoming when he arrived where they are.....
