You were a loving sister-in-law and a good friend, a good mother and wonderful wife. For all the wonderful things you were for this I bless you most. You gave much and knew not all that you gave. Thank you Darlene for being the great person you were. Will miss you and God bless. Jenny Ankenbauer

My dear baby sister I will miss you so much. I have only brothers now but we are grieving together and that's a good thing. We are all relieved you are at peace and no longer suffering. You went through so much, more than any one person should have to endure. Hope you are enjoying seeing everyone in Heaven. Love, Your Sister

So very sorry for the family's loss. Darlene was a special person that I enjoyed chatting with at many a Knapik party. Hold on to the memories and know that death may leave a heartache that no one can heal. But love leaves a memory that no one can steal. My prayers are with you all, Pat Mc

I have known Darlene since my freshman year at Proviso West when she started dating my oldest brother Bill. She was shy but friendly with an easy smile. Darlene loved children and never failed to send a greeting card and have gifts for my daughters whether it was birthdays or Easter or Halloween! I will fondly remember all the good times together that we had, all the laughs, and fishing up at Big Birch Lake. Darlene was a gem and will be truly missed by all. Love you Woost! Lynn (aka. Keep)
