Donnie was my favorite “Big Brother” cousin. For as long as I can recall he would carry me around at our Christmas Eve parties at Bushia’s. I would find him in the sunroom, (with my older cousins), tug on his shirt and he would look down, then pick me up to say hello, holding me while he walked around. No matter how we aged or the years passed I’d always give and get a warm brotherly hug. It was like no time had passed at all, picking up right where we left off. Even my husband Gary was so very fond of seeing and talking to him over our 45 years together, he was very much loved. I think I can speak for my sisters Sue, Laurie and Kathie when I say he was a special cousin loved by them, as well. When it came to great times, Donnie could always be counted on to deliver contagious laughter, as well as Pat and Ken. It’s like they were born to laugh and everyone would laugh with them. Their mother, my Aunt Agnes, must have passed along the laugh genes for all of us to enjoy! I can vividly recall those Christmas’s where the whole house and every room was filled with enjoyment and the interaction of family love. We practiced Polish traditions and enjoyed a celebration of the best Polish food to be had. These times to me represent how our family celebrated together and forged the traditions we handed down to our children. Always making time for the wonder of children and the love for each other. I believe it is the foundation of a multi generational family that stayed together and tried to carry that forward in an annual “Mosior” picnic where our children’s children could meet and we could see each other to catch up. I can say with no doubt that I will miss him profoundly, but I’m relieved he was able to leave us peacefully with dignity and grace. I think Donnie shared this same feeling of bringing our families together, whether we share celebrations or losses, we move forward as a family. I’ve lost a small piece of my heart with Donnie’s passing, I wish I could be there to be part of his goodbye. He was an amazing man, that brought some brightness to light when it was dark. He could be serious while still exhibiting a positive outlook. I’ve lost my big brother, but I know I will see him again in the future. I’ll probably hear Donnie laughing over St. Peter’s horn and I’ll know I’m with my family again. Cyndi

I worked with Don for many years and came to know him as a sweet, gentle and caring person. He made me laugh all the time. He loved to come up behind me while I was on the phone, poke the air and say I’m not touching you. What a wonderful person he was. Rest in peace my dear friend.
