We will miss you, Ed, your smiling face and words of encouragement over many years of friend-ship and fellow-ship. You and Marian, through your exemplary lives, were a stable influence for many at Bethel Baptist Church - two of which were Frank and myself. Also we knew you to be the same at the work place and in everyday living. In addition to being the best parents to Wes, Lynn, and Brad, you were good role models to other young people and older ones alike. You lived the examples! I recall your saying, "I love that little church!" You certainly showed that by putting your energies, talents, and resources into its' work. By the grace of God, through much prayer, you and other dedicated workers including our beloved shepherd, Pastor Bumpus, the church grew and grew and many believers were added to God, the Good shepherd's fold .I know Marian was first in line, welcoming you, after God said, "Welcome Home, my good and faithful servant." Both Emily and I were friends of Ed and Marion since college and wedding days. I had a "Last Supper" (well, it was really just lunch) with Ed in July of 2015. I am going to miss connecting with him by phone and when I am in the Chicago area, What a mixture of sadness and joy for his family right now. Both Ed and Bob Olseng beat me Home.

We wish we could be there to celebrate Ed's homegoing. He was such an encouragement to Dave and me in our years at Bethel. He was an example of faithful service in the Lord's ministry and of a loving husband and father. We are praying for the whole family during this time.

Will miss so very much seeing your sweet smile and hearing your soft voice. You always had words of wisdom to share. Most of all will miss seeing you in the choir loft. I know it has been a while since you were able to be there but there was always the hope that you could return. You are now singing in the Heavenly Choir and singing praises directly to our Lord. Will see you There when the Lord deems it is my time.

My heart is breaking, every time I look at your office door. You were a kind and gentle man who cared about all who came in contact with you. I am thankful that you allowed a single mom an opportunity 18 years ago to be your secretary and I enjoyed it very much. You are missed, and thought of often, I know you are now with Mrs. J in the Kingdom where I know you longed to be with her since the day she left her earthly bounds, and I have no doubt that she greeted you with open arms and it was probably one of the happiest thoughts that comes to my mind knowing that you have peace and the love of your life and the Lord with you now. My you rest in peace and Many Many prayers go out to your family who I know love you very much.
