It was always the highlight of the day when Ernie showed up at JNC. He always had jokes to tell or family stories to share. He will surely be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace!

May it help in some way that others are sharing your grief at this time. He was a nice friend and always had a smile on his face. We will have fond memories of Ernie. We all know that grief can be so hard ,but again our memories will help us get through this difficult time and cope with everything that happened.

I one hour after arriving at Ft Leonard Wood army base in Missouri we were friends immediately and have been friends for the past 60 years. Ernie was the best man at my wedding and I was godfather to his son Carmen. My wife and I have shared many wonderful memories with Ernie and his wife which will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace.

Ernie was my dad’s (Pete) cousin. I am doing our ancestry and contacted Ernie last summer with some questions. He did not know me personally, but he was so gracious and kind when I spoke with him. My dad always spoke fondly of growing up on Bishop Street. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family- may he rest in peace.

Looking back at my childhood, I hold so many memories of Ernie in my heart. To me, he was always larger than life, always had something funny to say and always had a smile on his face. Ernie always knew how to have fun and I know he is making everyone in heaven laugh and that he is looking down on his beautiful family knowing that he will be forever missed and loved and that they will support one another through this because he and Jaki instilled so much love for their family in each of them. Steve, Nick, Christian and I send our love and pray each of you find peace in your hearts. Rest in peace, Ernie...Keep shining your light in heaven!

I've never experienced the sorrow that I'm experiencing now with the loss of one of my best friends. Words can't describe the friend I lost. He will be missed immensely by not only me, but by everyone he's come in contact with in his life. Rest in peace my best friend.
