Ewa Maria Skalak, 74, of Bloomingdale passed away suddenly in her home on Saturday, November 28, 2020. Born August 5, 1946 in Tarnow, Poland the daughter to Jozef and Jozefa Skalak. Ewa set off on her journey to United States in early 1980’s and brought along her only daughter Anna. Ewa’s hard work and dedication set her family up to succeed and live the American dream. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life like playing candy crush, watching soap operas, shopping at her favorite store: Caputo’s, and drinking tea while she talked to her family in Poland. There was nothing more she loved than spending time with her family and friends, especially watching and partaking in raising her granddaughters. She is survived by her daughter, Anna; granddaughters, Ashley (Ivan) Misiaszek/Benitez and Britney (Alec) Misiaszek/Gregory; siblings, Eugeniusz Skalak, Zofia Fladro, Jozef Skalak, Roman Skalak, along with a plethora of nieces and nephews. A visitation is scheduled for December 5, 2020 from 3pm-9pm, with service at 4pm (Polish) and 7pm (English) at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels in Roselle, IL. A private mass will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 5pm at Divine Mercy Polish Parish in Lombard, IL. In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes to honor Ewa, the family is accepting donations to lay her remains to rest in her beloved city of Tarnow, Poland. We thank everyone for all the love, support and well wishes in advance.

Proszę przyjmijcie wyrazy najszczerszego współczucia i żalu. Krystyna z Rodzinom
