Frances G. Blaze

It is with great sadness that the family of Frances G. Blaze announces her passing after a hard-fought
battle with cancer on December 28, 2022, in Winfield, Illinois, at the age of 68. She was born on
February 26, 1954, in Chicago, IL. She was a graduate of 1972 Carl Schurz High School. She married
Ronald Blaze on October 18 th , 1975 and spent many of her years as a domestic engineer raising her three
children. Later in life, she took on a career in early childhood education. She entered retirement in 2018
and was a proud grandmother and great aunt.
Frances (Franny) will be lovingly remembered by her children, Nicole (Don), Ron (Erika) and Natalie as
well as her two granddaughters, Lilly and Danielle. She will be fondly remembered by her brother, Frank
Konkel (Ilona) and her sister Johanna Rack (Paul) as well as many nieces, nephews and a great nephew
and great nieces.
Franny was preceded in death by her husband, Ron (49), her mother Caroline, her brother Michael and
her sister Laura.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 30 th from 3pm-8pm at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel, 450 W
Lake, Roselle, IL. On Saturday, December 31 st at 10 am, a short funeral service will be held at Salerno’s
Rosedale Chapel, 450 W Lake, Roselle, IL followed by a funeral procession to Elm Lawn Cemetery in
Elmhurst, IL.
