George Allan Kikta 7/9/68 – 2/5/25. Born number six in a family of eight kids, George differentiated himself with his sense of humor and quick wit. While never embracing the structure of school, he had an innate ability with all things mechanical. Early on, he was repairing bicycles for himself and others, soon after, it was car engines. He worked at Packard Instrument for many years in assembly and maintenance. Later, at Priority Print, he loved working on the presses. He appreciated the wonderful machinery that no one makes anymore. He always kept busy, having multiple projects going in his garage. If it wasn’t working, he would fix it, if it was, he would find a way to make it more efficient. George found joy in nature and simple things. He loved going with his best friends, Will and Andrea, to their place in Hayward, WI. They also combined Will’s love of bowling, with their mutual passion for camping by doing cross country road trips to tournaments. George loved being part of a big supportive family, especially later in life. He would attend social events, but was really happiest if he could bring some tools along and rebuild something while having a few beers and visiting. He was a kind soul, who disliked any kind of conflict, and would help anyone with anything. When our brother Don passed away in 2023, he spent an entire summer sorting out his garage and basement, and finding good homes for as much as possible. George is survived by his parents, Donald Sr. and Clara Kikta, brothers David Kikta (Kim Novovesky), and Rob Kikta (Kelly Swedick), Sisters, Pauline Ares, Allison (Les) Lukaszewski, Diane (Scott) Mottlow, and Linda (Chris) Wheeler. Also, nieces and nephews, Jay (Aubrey) Mahoney, Andrea (Mark) Starchman, Kevin Ares, Lisa Lukaszewski (Brenda Davies), Dan (Brittany) Lukaszewski, Mark (Natalie) Lukaszewski, Melissa (Giles) Hoel, Sam Mottlow, Jake Kikta (Alicia Collins), Tessa (Joe) Hejka, Shane Kikta, Aidan Kikta, Haley Wheeler, Casey Wheeler, Nick Wheeler, and Julia Wheeler.
